One hand gives you food to eat
Water to drink and crops to grow
Tools to till and beasts to pull
And help to reap that which you sow.
One hand rapes your land and wife
Kills your son and starts the feud
That sends your brothers into war
And takes in lieu your tools and food.
One hand helps you to your feet
And gives you bricks to help rebuild
Your home, your town, your people's lives
A statue remembering all those killed.
One hand aims and fires the gun
That shoots a bullet through your head
Then one hand digs deep in the ground
To bury all the other hand's dead.
